Hair Care, with Eggs!

Eggs! They are delicious, nutritious, available all over the world, affordable, and used in all cultures and cuisines! It is the perfect ingredient to test the skills of chefs on cooking shows, and is the best choice to feed an entire village of people! It’s easy to think of a variety of ways to use eggs in cooking, but what about the other, non-food uses of eggs? You’d be surprised what eggs can do!

What about using egg for your hair care?

Instead of breaking the bank to buy expensive shampoos and conditioners, why not break a few eggshells instead? Because eggs are so rich in proteins that are similar to those found in hair, they make for great conditioning! Beat a whole eggs or two yolks for dry hair with a bit of olive oil then massage into your hair once frothy. Leave the mixture on for about 20 minutes, then rinse it off. If you don’t want to risk any eggy smells, you can add a few drops of essential oils to the mix while beating it. You’ll be surprised to find your hair becoming stronger and more luxurious after just a few washes!

But the wonders of eggs on hair aren’t limited to just humans either. Eggs can also make your dog’s coat shinier and healthy! But instead of giving them a bath in it, just add one scrambled egg to your dog’s food every week. Soon your dog’s coat will regain some luster, and your dog will be a lot happier with the eggy treats! Just remember that raw eggs are off-limits for dogs though, because just like with humans, eating raw eggs could lead to getting sick with salmonella.

The abundance of proteins is great for hair, but it also does wonders for the skin! That’s a subject for another time though, but have fun with luxurious locks for now!
